Abstract

In the issue of December 2020 of Belügyi Szemle the paper of László Christián and Ákos Erdős titled ‘Alarm bell and anniversary?’ was published. The authors discussed prospects of law enforcement higher education and difficulties of recruiting and setting course of life for officer candidates. A commendable initiative! They might have chosen a less bumpy road. The successor of the Police Officers’ College - the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the National University of Public Service – will celebrate its 50 years anniversary in 2021. Mr. Christián and Mr. Erdős are clerks of the university and simultaneously practitioners of the law enforcement science. A clerk celebrates and a researcher thinks through. We hope that contemplation will find further partners and hitting the alarm bell will be followed by a lively discussion. Our reflection intends to contribute to this anticipated change of views.
