Detecting and proving of serial crimes became even more difficult in our current digital society. Crimes can be committed in many areas of the country, and nowadays, borders are no barriers at all. Crimes, committed in the digital world, can be committed in any part of the world. Detecting the sequences can provide the understanding of the relevant past events and the interruption of the crime series. The aim of the study was to define and investigate the execution of the tasks necessary for the detection of serial crimes, including the profile analysis, the basics of the e-investigation and the justification of the investigation team.
