The special law enforcement aspects of the city of loyalty and freedom - Interview with Dr. Zoltán Herczeg, Pol. Lieutenant Colonel, Head of the Sopron Police Station

Abstract

Sopron was characterized by mystery and seclusion for decades before the regime change. We dare to say that the last thirty years have proved that Sopron is one of the most hospitable and friendly cities in Hungary. Anyone whose face is caressed just once by the Sopron breeze and who hears the city’s bells ringing in his ears will forever have engraved in his heart and soul the love for the city with which s/he pledges eternal loyalty to Sopron. Sopron is the western gateway to our country, the guarding and protection of this “gate” has posed extraordinary challenges to our predecessors working in law enforcement and does so with today’s professionals. “Civitas Fidelissima” - the most loyal city. In memory of the 1921 referendum, the country donated this everlasting epithet to the city of Sopron. The security of the city of loyalty and freedom can be ensured in the same way with loyalty, expertise, and devotion. Dr. Valér Dános, editor-in-chief, and Dr. Csaba Szabó, managing editor, talked about the special law enforcement aspects of the city of loyalty and freedom, the challenges of the present and future plans with Dr. Zoltán Herczeg, pol. lieutenant colonel, head of the Sopron Police Department.
