Portrait

Under this submenu item you find portrait-like talks with successful and accepted representatives of policing sciences and practice, with experts of outstanding performances.
The submenu Portrait appears as a new periodical genre in Belügyi Szemle. We do not intend to present just simply lifetime data for our readership but rather offer a report about personal professional results, professional successes. I.e. in this submenu are professional portraits appearing in the form of a colourful personal experience story. We intend to share this experience of the interviewed person, gained in course of a longer carrier or in case of a special challenge, with professional and non-professional public opinion. In these portraits are personal matters the most important elements, but we intend to present them with emphasis on the professional side. These portraits put in each case the subject of the interviews in the foreground, presenting not so much their events of life but rather going around their way of thinking, their relatedness to the profession and to professional life. Our colleagues making the portrait aim further to present experience-like and just in an objective way what the interviewed persons have given to and received from their chosen profession, and what have motivated them in professional life.
The prepared portrait will be, similar to interviews, sent – if possible- to the person affected for approval and based on received remarks the corrected version forwarded to the hands of the copy editor and the layout editor.
