Analysis of international organized crime statistics in the SOCTA and EUROSTAT systems

Abstract

Aim: Through secondary analysis, organized crime in the XXI. getting to know its form in the 19th century and mapping the possible means of action against it. Will the tools of (criminal) legal regulation and law enforcement prove to be sufficient, or should we move in the direction of other methods and possibilities and expand them?
Methodology: The study uses the dual unit of analysis and synthesis as well as source criticism. All this is supplemented by further analysis and evaluation of the data in the reports used, which corresponds to secondary research.
Findings: In the 21st century, the nature, group dynamics and characteristics of organised crime have changed. In the author's view, it cannot be countered by one instrument, such as (criminal) legislation, or more effective law enforcement techniques, etc. An alternative solution is a strategy of total prevention, the details of which are discussed in the conclusions of the paper.
Value: The value of the thesis can be demonstrated from the research work aimed at mapping the phenomenon of organized crime, the analysis and evaluation of primary and secondary data, the drawing of conclusions, and the formulation of proposals.
